Barcode and RFID Tag Verification

Cornerstone Automation Systems offers a solution for verification of barcodes and RFID tags. The system reads the information as it passes the scanner or reader. Once read, the package either passes on to the shipping station or is automatically diverted into the QC station. This greatly reduces errors in package contents as well as protects from unwarranted claims against what was received.

Operation starts with an in bound barcode scan of the carton label and table lookup. The RF Tag & human readable label data is prepared and sent to the tag encoder/printer that can either be inside the printer or in a zone after the printer label applicator. This option allows the user to utilize his existing printer label applicators to print the human readable information on the RF Tag and encode the tag at an encoding zone right after the labeller.

As the carton enters the labelling zone, it is cornered and labelled. Confirmation of label placement is confirmed by the RF Tag reader/ encoder. The unique design of our system with accumulation conveyor allows the user to utilize non-RF Tag printer label Applicators for the RF Tag Compliance Labelling process saving the user tens of thousands of dollars on new equipment.
